I am delighted to announce that I am now being represented by Fiona Johnson at Beyond Words Literary Agency.
Perhaps it was the butterflies in Beyond Words’ logo – that’s a set of stories for another day.
Perhaps it is that Fiona is a woman you have to admire. At 25, Fiona beat an aggressive form of leukaemia, then successfully chased her dreams of becoming a rodeo rider and horse trainer!!!
Or her background in sales and marketing?
Or that she is an author herself, having published her autobiography, My Wild Ride, with Allen & Unwin?
I have ordered in my copy and looking forward to buying it next time I am in Hobart.

Fiona’s first task for me has been negotiating another non-fiction picture book contract.
I am also thrilled to announce that I will be working again with CSIRO Publishing, which published my last picture book, The Way of the Weedy Seadragon, illustrated by Lois Bury.
And the topic of my new picture book with CSIRO Publishing?
Here’s are some hints.
I have eight legs, but I’m not a spider.
I have survival superpowers.
Who am I?
